Sourdough Saloon @ The Lord Morpeth

I find myself venturing to Victoria Park quite often as I have several friends living in the area. It's always lovely to go for a wander around the park or maybe even a sunbathe when the weather is permitting. However, you may find the weather turns during an outing and if it does I recommend heading over to the newly refurbished Lord Morpeth.

This is a cute little local pub which shows all of the major sporting events. It also provides a homely atmosphere with board games and a wide selection of drinks to spend an entire afternoon / evening relaxing with friends. Whilst here though you must dip into the menu provided by their Sourdough Saloon!

The pizza here is amazing! They are large and juicy and have good toppings. They are served in a take away pizza box so can be eaten in or out or half and half! The Bufala is delicious and you can never go wrong with plenty of mozzarella but we also tried Cotto e Funghi, which was also tummy rumble inducing good. If you are very hungry order one each but they are big enough for two to share! A bottle of Prosecco is just under £30 so it's affordable to grab a pizza and Prosecco during a rainy day.

You do have to be in the area to enjoy this establishment, I don't think it's worth a detour to the East End, however, if you are in Victoria Park and fancy a drink or a bite to eat this place is homely, cute and welcoming and the pizza's are good!
